Bhaktivedanta College is authorized through the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya (Apostolic lineage of the Vedic Tradition), this religious tradition traces its spiritual heritage back thousands of years as evidenced in the Vedic Scriptures. The Bhaktivedanta College adopts, as its own, the fundamental vision of the Vedic Scriptures and the Vaisnava (Krsna Bhakti) tradition, and the values which are described in the Bhagavad-gita, Srimad Bhagavatam and the other authorized Vedic literatures.

Degree programs of study offered by Bhaktivedanta College have been declared exempt from the requirements for licensure under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes Section (G.S.) §116-15(d) for exemption from licensure with respect to religious education. Exemption from licensure is not based upon any assessment of program quality under established licensing standards.
